+ Puerto Varas is a very nice town located in the Chilenian ´Lake Dristrict´. In a way, it is like the Bariloche but in Chile. It is in front of a beautiful lake and with the Volcano Osorno as background, it is perfect for a short holidays!!
+ Puerto Varas was a very important German settlement and the town architeucture easily delate it. But what really displayed it was the Oktober Fest they were celebrating when we arrived! Weissbeer und Wurts included!!
+ We were invited to a Birthday Barbaque of people we barely knew and they roasted an entire pig!!!!!!!!! It was delicious...
+ Since in this country it is all about eating and eating, well, Dani also prepared an exquisite spinach tortilla.
+ Before catching our plane to the South of Patagonia we had one day to visit the surroundings of Puerto Varas. The highlight is the Volcano Osorno and the Waterfalls Saltos del Petrohue. We rented a car (the first one of our whole trip) and headed to the mountains. Unfortunately the weather wasn´t good so we couldn't have nice views from the top of the Volcano... Maybe in our next trip :-)
