Hello South Patagonia! Strait of Magellan and Punta Arenas

1-3 November

+ The flight over the Patagonian Andes... really amazing.

+ Our first destination in South Patagonia was Punta Arenas. This town was built at the Strait of Magellan and has been always considered an important place for sailors. Today it is still key for transportation. In our opinion, an ugly town where the wind is always fierce and there is nothing to do...

+ Since we arrived on November 1, we decided to visit the cementery and observe the local traditions. Next to the cementery they were organizing a local fair where we could win a can of peach or tuna playing the fortune roulette! :-)

+ As there was not too much to do, Punta Arenas was a great place to catch up with our blog and to get energies for our next destination (Torres del Paine). But of course there was something of high interest for us...   the Magallanes PINGUINS!!
