South Thailand, Koh Tao: Paradise....

From 28th May

+ After 10h of bus to Bangkok, crossing the border, 5h waiting for the bus and another 8h to the south, we arrive 'a bit' too early (2 AM) for catching the ferry (which leaves only at 7AM)...  Fortunately, it is the Champions Final so we are delighted to see how Barcelona kick asses once again. Another 3hours of boat to arrive to an island of dreams ... 

 

+ And the beach, finally !!! 

  

 

+ Beautiful sunsets!! Of course, completing kinga's gift  (the Cocktail book ) with Mojito and Mai Tai.

 

+ And we did our diving license!! Coooool!!! such professionals!! And although we had to study a little bit... we  got party to celebrate it !!

Battanbang: The country side and its friendly people

+ Even though we did not spend as much time as we would have liked, we really loved Cambodia and especially the people. It is amazing that after all the suffer then have gone through less than 30 year ago, they are so kind, honest and really friendly.In less than 8 days in the country we learnt a lot about their history, their culture and their friendlyness. We will for sure come back one day with a little more of time....  

+ We did one of the most amazing trips (6 hours ) by boat from Siem Reap (where Angkor Wat is located) to Battanbang (in the West). We crossed a lake and went through a river where thousand of people live on floating houses, have floating schools, shops and even floating church!! AWESOME!!
 

 

  

 

  

+ We dedicated half a day bike tour to explore the country side and the local producers. We learnt how to make rice paper (for the spring rolls), dry banana, fish paste, rice cake and much more. Check out Kinga in the video! such and expert !
