+ After 8 horrible hours of travel (for just 280km) in one of the most uncomfortable vans in earth and on one of the worst roads in the world (it took us two hours to make the last 25 km) we arrived in a hidden paradise. Located in the middle of the mountains, the hostel was really cool... and cheap. With its own access to the river and nearby the natural park of Semuc champey it can be consider a little jewel. The only "drawback" is that our "room" (a wooden loft with no doors and share with other people and...ehem...scorpions) was above the bar and the party last everyday until late in the morning :)
+ the showers were half open so could look at the moutains while getting clean. awesome!!

+ Semuc Champey is actually and awesome turquose waterfalls over limestone. The river disappears at one point (like sucked by the earth) and reappear 2 km further away. In the middle, the remaining water creates small waterfalls and pools were you can swim and enjoy the most original foot massage (the little fishes eat the dead skin of your toes and feet and that produces a feeling very nice but also very ticklish :)
This is where the river disappears
From the view point: what a climb!!
+ We did many other things although we dont have pictures. We did tubing: it basically consistsw of letting yourself float on a river with donut. It sounds easy but... hold yourself tight because the rapids come quickly, the waters gets very shallow and your bump can get seriously hit!! really funny. To that you have to add that you are using one hand to hold your beer. We went with a group of crazy irish guys whose main goal was to drink as many beers as possible in the one hour ride. One drank 11 cans. the others friends just 6 each...ohhh.... crazy people but very friendly!!
+ Finally the parties. Not too much to say except that we met great people from all over the world, we drank a bit too much and.....that we did a Guatemalan human piramid. Thanks Kinga for your motivation!!! This one is dedicated to the girls in Brussels!!a big thanks to the members of the piramid wherever you are (Jenny and Michel from USA, Ben and Iddo from Israel, Nigge from Australia and Mario from Mexico)
