Antigua: Guatemala's old capital

29 July

+ Antigua is the old capital of Guatemala and therefore a very colonial city. The architecture is great with beautiful plazas, large houses and very pretty patios (coutyarts). There is plenty of cheapeas restaurants to eat "el menu del dia" and many bars to hang around in the evenings. The city is located in a valley surrounded by high volcanos, some of them pretty active.

+ Everything very nice but to be honest, a little bit boring; especially after being in such other beautiful places like lake Atitlan. And also because it rained everyday and got pretty chilly in the evenings. So we spent couple of days shopping, eating well and catching up with the blog which is a heck of work!!
