Singapore: the shopping mall city

25th June

+ Singapore is totally different from its neibouring countries. This country has developed tremendously in the last 40 years and when you arrive here, it seems that you have arrived into the future. After cheap Southeast Asia, the prices also seems to be high as in the future!! Thanks God our friends Paula and Javier had pitty and hosted us in their fancy appartament. As fancy as in Marbella. As a matter of fact, that was the name of the buidling.

+ Singapore's population is made of lots of Chinese, many Indian, many Malay and some few Spanish who must have got lost :) Each community has its own little reproduction of their country like Chinatown and Little India with their typical businesses, street names, food and customes. The rest of Singapore is like 1 million shopping malls interconnected with each other by the underground system. People there are crazy for shopping and for full blast air-conditioned indoor restaurants. But there is much more to do. There are plenty of cool modern museums, the ugly harbour, awesome outdoor foodstalls and a wild rainforest next to the city. The food is also great!

+ Thanks to Javier and Paula for much of the sponsoring!! :)

+ We visited the zoo which is great and seems to treat the animals pretty cool. There are mostly no cages so they seem not to suffer that much and you feel like in the jungle. The best the monkeys and the white tiger...
