Marvellous Bangkok - you have so many colours...

29th June

+ Exactly where we started our adventure in Southeast Asia almost 3 months ago, we ended it. Athough we had been already twice in the capital of Thailand during the travel we barely new the city. For the last 4 days in Asia we got to visit the typical tourist places of the city like the Royal Palace and the most breathtaking temples. We got time for hanging around at the backpackers area of Kao San Road where most people go out and we went shopping to the traditional local markets and the most modern shopping malls. Bangkok is definitely a city of contrast. Traveling by boat means very old boats but the most effient and fastest way of transport. Catch a prehistoric tuk tuk or taxi to be stuck in the dense traffic before entering in a mega modern sky line train or shopping mall. All in all, we really loved Bangkok (and its shopping possibilities!) and was the perfect closing of Part I of our trip.
